A Sanctuary To Restore You
We welcome you…
We are honoured by your presence and motivated by your recognition.
A Touch of Tranquility Wellness Spa was founded in November 2001 by Christina M Lower LMT, LE, CHHC,
establishing in our Corning location in January 2003.
Our therapeutic wellness spa began as a very small business of 1 room,
Now, 2 decades later and supported more than ever by our loyal and dedicated guests
as well as from the city of Corning, the surrounding areas and many who travel a great distances allowing us to care for them.

This support has given us the honour and ability to stretch, grow, and move forward over the years
because of all that has been meaningfully contributed here.

We are so proud to have prospered so much with you. For you. Because of you.
We have compassionately learned from you, through our practitioners and all whom have walked through our doors..
That enlightenment has brought us to a deeply balanced and understanding place with our very own identity.
Which is unique, dedicated, thoughtful, and rich with life, creativity, details, excitement and simplicity.
We cultivate a healing sanctuary for you to feel comfortable in, enhancing you each and every time you visit.

We joyfully welcome you... Please join us...

I grew up as a pretty serious and competitive athlete, which led me to learn everything I could about nutrition, the human body, and the role of diet in our mental and physical performance. This planted a seed for my growing interest in the intersection of physical wellness and emotional wellness as I strongly believe that the two cannot be separated.

In 2013, I graduated from RIT where I earned a BS degree in various forms of art, along with a minor in psychology and concentrations in writing and exercise science. After college, I worked several odd jobs and pursued a career as a freelance artist. I created album artwork for local musicians, illustrated caricatures, and painted landscapes. I started seriously learning to compose music around this time. Although these continue to be areas of passion for me, I felt something limiting in the level of meaningful impact they could have on the lives of others.

This led to my pursuit of becoming a massage therapist in 2019, with the goal of finding a space where I could assemble all of these pieces of myself as both a creative and scientific person and apply my being to something significantly helpful to others.
I studied massage therapy at the New York Institute of Massage in Buffalo, NY. It ended up being a perfect crossover of my skill sets and interests in ways I didn’t expect. I discovered the connections between massage and sculpting, and the human body took on a new form for me.
My specific passion for neurology and its application in massage emerged, as I believe the nervous system has so much to do with every aspect of our health, all the way down to the thoughts we have.

In my work, I use a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial techniques while taking deliberate care to properly assess problem areas. I deliver a customized massage experience in order to meet your specific health needs and goals as a client.
My main goal is to help you improve your quality of life while providing an empathetic, relaxed, and nourishing environment.
